Mala Yoga is a local yoga studio with a very dedicated following. Their students are obsessed with yoga and the studio, so naturally they would be obsessed with their website. We sat with the team at Mala and went through all the features that would satisfy their students needs, and provide valuable, timely information as well. The result is a beautiful website, packed with features, that is easy for the ladies at Mala to maintain themselves.
MalaYogaNYC Features: Podcasts that are available on the website and iTunes, online store where students can purchase classes or gift certificates, newsletter subscription, class schedule, individual teacher pages, integrated Google map.
24/7 Wall Street
247WallSt.com is the premier website for round-the-clock news on business and finance. Started in 2006 on Typepad, they decided in Dec 2008 that they needed to move to WordPress VIP to take their website to the next level. We worked closely with the 247 team to keep the same look and feel of the very successful original design, and added a number of new features to build a community.
247WallSt.com features: a host of social networking tools; Email post to a friend, post to Facebook, Follow on Twitter, Share This, Digg, Yahoo Buzz, Delicious, Fark and Reddit. We also integrated the Intense Debate enhanced comment system, and a tabbed interface in the sidebar to highlight popular posts and the Editor’s picks. Setting a post as a “Featured Article” highlights it on all pages.
Keppie Careers
Miriam Salpeter has over ten years experience helping job seekers find their dream career, and she came to SlipFire looking for her dream website. Using a combination of Godaddy’s website tonight software for her main site, and WordPress.com for her blog, Miriam decided it was time to combine the two and drive her online marketing strategy. Working closely with Miriam we created a website that highlights her job seeking services, as well as her frequent blog postings. Additionally, Miriam can control 99% of her website without editing one line of code.

Gotta Knit!

The ladies at Gotta Knit in Greenwich Village are warm and friendly, and they wanted a website that reflected their personalities. First we picked warm, fun colors and then we added fun borders to everything. A large typeface added some warmth, and some line art added the finishing touch.
GottaKnit.net features: an easy to use event manager, integrated mailing list, photo gallery and a personalized Google Map.
RubberClick

RubberClick is the leading directory of web services on the internet. With a tag line of “Discover something new”, this simple, yet elegant design, presents the user with a search box and a tag cloud, making it easy for them to find cool new companies. Options to view the most popular companies, and view a random company are also available. Users leave comments about the companies and rate them on a scale of 1-5. Since this site is free, a full advertising campaign is displayed and generates revenue.
RubberClick.com features: “Surprise Me!” button that brings up a random company, ratings system, advertising campaign.
Skytrack Condo

SkyTrack Condo has 60 owner apartments spread out over four buildings and wanted a way to communicate with them easily. Their new website certainly does the trick! All new announcements are posted on the front page of the website, and immediately emailed to the owners. Sending messages to the Superintendent, Managing Agent or Board of Managers is just one click away, and the website keeps a log of all messages for future reference. An integrated calendar announces upcoming events, and the local weather is always displayed. Additionally, each board member has a user ID and password so they can easily update the website themselves.
SkyTrackCondo.com features: Email subscription service, three different contact forms, integrated calendar, local weather display.
Little Pink List

When Rita Ross is not teaching High School English, she’s out canvassing the streets of New York City for a good deal, taste-testing restaurants or practicing yoga at her favorite studio. Her passions come together at LittlePinkList.com, where Rita’s writing skills shine as a reviewer on her favorite passions. The website was designed to reflect Rita’s personality and be easy to navigate, and we guess it worked. LittlePinkList.com is becoming more popular every day.
